Just wondering if anyone has fished, or regularly fishes this lake, a friend of mine lives up there and is not much of a fisherman, but says his neighbor has an 8lber on the wall from that lake, just curious seeing as it is a power plant lake, could possibly be another winter option. Thanks ahead for any info!

I haven't fished in in a while, but a friend fishes it regularly and does well. He says use the North Shore Ramp.

fish it as much as possible...both ramps are fine. cloudy "bad weather" days fish a moving bait traps, baits, cranks around grass and you WILL get bit..calm sunny days plastics fished slow around grass and you generally will get bit...GREAT lake for numbers of bass in the colder months

we did really good yesterday caught about 40. they will hit anything out there, seemed to like stuff on the smaller side. caught fish in 3 foot of water and in 15 foot of water.

You could cover most of it in a morning with a 9.9 kicker... It's that small...

I've fished half of it in a morning from a kayak...

I LOVE this lake. My WORST day was 8 fish from 1-4 pounds from a kayak.

I usually catch a handful just paddling to a spot while dragging a couple crankbaits behind the kayak.

Near discharge on Watermelon Candy Tx Rig Zoom and try the right side of the Dam as well.

FYI - TPWD uses that lake as a training area for new wardens on occasion. Just make sure you are legal, got checked 5 times in 2008.
