Lewisville December 14th:
Johnny and his son Sam spent a beautiful Monday afternoon catching a some nice blues with me on Lewisville. Needless to say, little Sam is now hooked and ready to put rod holders all over dad's pretty bass boat. The action started off quickly and Sam boated his first blue cat before I could get the third rod in the water. It was a pretty stead bite for the next several hours with a mix of eating size fish and a few trophy class fish as well. Sam caught his personal best blue that weighed in right at 16 lbs with a little help from dad. He also finished the day off putting a whooping on a 12 lb. blue all by himself. Total catch for the afternoon was right around 30 fish, keeping 17 box fish for a fish fry. That little boy was flat worn out by the time we got back to the dock. All fish were caught on gizzard shad using Team Catfish gear.

The Salas Brothers and their dad were brave enough to face the freezing temps for a little blue fishing on Lewisville Wednesday morning. It was a breezy 27 degrees when I got to the ramp and SLOWLY warmed up by the afternoon. The morning started off kind of slow and took about 20 minutes to get our first fish in the boat. Then it was a pretty steady bite for the rest of the day. Action was good on some really solid box fish and got a few trophy class fish was well. Everyone on the boat caught and released fish over 10 lbs. Each angler also set his personal best blue cat as well. Big fish of the day weighed 46 lbs. Here are a few photos from their trip.
