splendora -

There are times when I have to turn the console unit off for my trolling motor unit to work properly. I have a cheap one up front - that may be the reason - maybe someone else knows more about why . I'm replacing the front one today - moving the 320 to the trolling motor and installing a 480 on the console. It will be interesting to see if I still have the same problem.

Sometimes my 480 and 320 get stupid when on the same time. I just turn the console unit off for about 3 seconds and turn it back on. If you are to buy one or the other, and have the extra 50 bucks get the 480. It has a better pixal count and you can tell. But if you are strapped for cash the 320 is a fine unit.

If you run two at 200 then they can interfere. Varner you know how mine used to act up..I would just stop the chart on my console as I was on the trolling motor so it did not matter.

I have a 480 on the console and a 320 on the trolling motor. They are the best I have used on our boat.

Splendora,

I can only tell you what I was told by a fellow at BPS, when I bought my boat, and from a spokesman from Lowrance. Always turn one system off to reduce interference.

On the other hand I have notice very little difference between my two units. But to be honest I am still learning to set up the units for the best operation.

Tom

If anyone is looking for a new unit for their boat......You may do well at going to:
www.GPSDiscount.com. I have bought several units from them both Lowrance and Eagle. They are located in Oklahoma and will ship the same day they recieve an order. There prices are less than anyone around here, plus there is no tax, and they pay for the shipping. Go to their web site and take a look.

My 320 transducer is on the trolling motor, and my 480 transducer is back on the transom. I never have interference with either unit.

Those of you that are having interference problems...I wonder if the wiring is really close together on the 2 units or something???

Do the 320 and 480 use the same transducer?

It certainly looks identical.

I recently bought an Eagle Cuda 168 & I love it!I am a trotline/ jugliner, all I need in a graph is depth, structure & water temp, it has all of these. It cost $99.00 + tax.
