not really im just guessing there would be some there. the water is kinda shallow for a ways & it has a soft bottom so i figgured it would be a good spot. usually you see some in places like that. And i've seen carp & buffalo thrown up on the bank there.there's a bunch of carp and some buffalo below whitney dam on the river side my friend caught 3 fair sized ones one day after work there when they wasnt releasing water.

Ignorant and unintelligent are different. They may be smart but ignorant of the law and about carp in general. Throwing fish on the bank cuz you don't like them is illegal as well as bad morals

agreed...leaving fish to sufficate on the shore and rot is wasteful, immature, illegal, unethical and does not teach best practice for younger anglers. Without the guidance of wildlife/biologist professionals, what person has the authority or ego to decide what fish is trash and what is not. People in Arkansas tried to eradicate the gator gar because they did not understand it. They feared it and thought it was an unnatural monster eating all of the sport fish. It is a native fish and is almost gone in those waters because of the selfish ignorance of uninformed people. I realize common carp are not native but Carp do not pose a threat like say, the northern snakehead. Wildlife experts say kill the snakeheads because they destroy native species, so kill the snakeheads. Leave carp and other roughfish alone, let them do what they do and respect the fact that there are people who do appreciate fishing for them.

There are a surplus of big buffs in that lake. That is my "go to" for smaller buffs too. These are vital for catching big yella cats.
