I was just wondering if there is any good freswater fishing in this area. I will be Port A the entire month of Feburary(any thing biting that time of the year) and would like to try some freshwater besides fishing the bays and jetties.I would appreciate any help you may offer. Thanks and Happy Holdays to all

The last half of Febuary the Crappie spawn starts at Lake Corpus Christi. March is the prime month for the spawn. The lake is down and all the boat ramps are closed. Been catching some good Blue cats lately. Good fishing from the bank this year but I don't know about next year with the lake being down. If you have a boat Choke Canyon is great bass fishing and Crappie.
