I just got home from a couple of days on CC, and while we caught some nice fish, we had to work our tails off to do it. Monday I fished with Rod and Johnny. We headed south, as the wind was scheduled to blow out of the south. We caught crappie on the bridge, docks and brushpiles, and from the comments, I think we now have a couple of MCD converts . That's Rod on the left, and Johnny (otherwise know as 'Smiley') on the right, with a few good 'unsToday I fished with Curtis and his son-in-law Joe. We headed south again (why not), and that was mistake number one. At 9:30 we put the boat on the trailer and headed north to launch at Sandy Shores, which had a full parking lot of game wardens (mistake number two), but we found a place to park and went fishing....again. The wind was blowing (and swirling) which made it difficult to hold on some places, but we did manage to save the day, with a very nice cooler of crappie off docks and brushpiles. Joe (L) and Curtis (R) with a few of the nice fish

Good job, It's not easy to hold on some brush piles when you know the wind direction, let alone it be swirling.... Matthew

Hey guy this is Rod. I just wanted to say thanks again for a great experience. You were just what I needed to get me going on the right track and build my fish catching confidence again. Like I told you on monday I have only been a boat owner for one year and previously had only bank fished. I found that fishing from boat was a new ballgame. In saying this I would highly recomend that anyone that is a new boat owner give guy a call and let him fix you to. By the way I have "MCD" bad I did not realize how much that I dislike work my new four letter word. Also I am new to TFF and want to say howdy>

Guy, just wanted to say thanks again for all the great info that you shared w/ us yesterday. Will be looking forward to being able to locate fish on my own and also going back out with you soon. Probably do half day trip in lieu of all day until this heat & humidity goes away. Thought Chili's was going to ask us to leave if we didn't stop putting down the liquids. Thank you, Curtis

Wonder why all of those Game Wardens were parked like that on CC on a Tuesday?

Just curious, where is sandy shores? Is there another name for it? I live on CC and have never heard of it. And I second Billy. I wonder if it had anything to do with the guy that drowned out there Sunday.

Billy, That's the marina that the GWs usually use when on the lake. There were about 5 or 6 boat loads of them. They were searching (dragging) for the drowning victum that occurred on Sunday afternoon. They found him about 2:00 yesterday. Said he was riding on the back of a rented jet ski...with no life jacket. Story is that he fell off and the guy driving didn't know it until too late.
Bailey, It's on the north end of the lake, near the 334 bridge and behind Big Chief.
