How do i catch them?

I usually bass fish so thats the gear i have.
I have a Pond that is full of big carp and ive never tried to catch any, sounds like it would be fun. Do they bite in cold weather?

Thanks for any help..

Welcome to the section. You can catch them simply with a split shot, a number 6 or 4 hook and sweet corn. Just make your drag really loose. Chunk out a handful of corn every 15 minutes and through your baits in the same area. Yes they bite in cold weather, as well as any other fish you care to fish for.

Bass rods would be fine.

sliding sinker rig and sweetcorn on a number 6 hook would work.
Chum with a little corn first.

They do bite in cold weather, but fishing can be a little slow after a front.

Welcome. I am something of a newbie as well but I have fished for carp forever. The guys in here will help you in anyway they can and most have honestly probably forgotten more about Carping than I will ever know. The first thing to really help you catch carp is the hair rig. If you do a web search or simply look through the forum you will find millions of instructions. Have fun and PM if ya ever want to hit the carp up if I am not working I try to be ready.
