Is it a NoNo to put trees in the lake? I've heard that people have done it in the past and have created a few honeyholes. Please advise me as to the possibility to place a few in the lake. If it is OK to do so I plan to hit up the neighbors for their used trees(Cleaned of course)

If you can leave juglines floatin across boatlanes,I dont see why a few brushpiles would cause a problem.

You wouldn`t think you would need brush piles in that lake, but you would probably be shocked if you knew how many there really are in there.

Probably not supposed to put them in. I know when I asked the lake manager at Livingston (I know, different lake)and he pretty much he said not supposed to but lots of people do (wink, wink) but your not supposed to. Probably will get the same answer from SRA. Also LOTS easier to hit the tree stands before Christmas and ask them if you can have some of the leftover trees after Christmas. Most told me I could have as many as I could carry. I could get about 20 on a 16' trailer

The rule is that it has to be biodegradable. Trees are fine, tires are not. I use concrete blocks to sink my brush. I'm not the law maker, but I've been putting them out for 20 + years with no problem. I do it all at night so no one sees my bright yellow boat towing a 50 foot brush pile across the lake!!
