I will be in Junction Texas for the Christmas break. I have heard about fishing on the Llano River there. I have been trying to find out what kind of tackle and artificial baits to take along but I have nt found a reliable resource yet. I am hoping someone on TFF could give me some advice or put me in touch with someone who could.

Thanks

FYI, they're stocking the river with trout on the 22nd. Back in Feb when I was down there, they were practically jumping onto the bank for powerbait orange nibbles, but that was last winter.

I will say this. When I was there, I've never seen so many or so BIG carp before in my life as when I attempted to use corn.

Sorry that's all I got.

ultra light rods, or fly rods. use small swim baits, rapalas, jigs, or in line spinners. fly rod use wooly buggers, clousers, or crawfish patterns. rent a yak, and float from the state park, to junction. a great day trip!!

Thankyou for the information. Hope to catch some even in the cold weather. I am not much of a trout fisherman (haven't done it enough). I am assuming that there are plenty of bass in the Llano. Let me know.
