A friend of mine that works for TxDot gave me a great site to check wind forecast up to two days in advance. cool Check out www.intellicast.com Full weather site. Simply type the zip or city, state and you're off and running. Hit the forecasts button on the left and you get a menu to choose from for temps/winds/precip etc. If you go to the radar button, you can select or de-select highways, counties, cities etc.
Check it out. banana I think everyone will like this site once you get use to it.

Take a good look at what you're about to eat. It's not important to know what it is, but it is important to know what it was!

I've tried using the site several times and about half the time it was dead wrong. After about 4 or 5 times of saying the current winds are 5-10 when really they were 20-25, I decided to find a new website. If they can't update the current conditions, I'm not going to trust on their forecast. Now I use nbc5i.com. They're not right every time, but at least they update it when they miss it. Just my 2 cents.

I've started using it at the suggestion of Crappie Magnet and I find it to be relatively accurate for Brownwood. But I would imagine the weather sites are like the weather guy's if they predict beautiful days it will be rainy and windy. If they say it's going to be rainy and windy then its a beautiful day. Maybe the site is inaccurate for different parts of Texas who knows!
