Well I have narrowed it down. I was fishing The Lewisville Tailrace. So does anyone know if that Tailrace is considered the Elm Fork or is it considered part of the Trinity River? Thanks Godzilla

Caught a 16.5 Blue on 6lb Test Line. So how sure are you that this is considered the Elm Fork?

Texas doesn't list line class records for water bodies.
Texas (and as below, the IGFA) require the fish to be weighed on certified scales as well, I hope this was done.
The you can check the world records at the IGFA for line class records.
That said, I'm pretty sure Texas lists the tailrace as Lake Lewisville.
*if* you are going to submit that fish to IGFA (I haven't checked the records, my book is at home, it may not be one) make sure the rig is still attached to the line, as they will want it still tied on and a section of the mainline as well.
congrats, I bet it was a great fight too. what did you catch it on?

ummm just checked the world lineclass record for 6lb test...... 64 lbs. yikes.
Still, awesome catch, LLELA is a nice place as long as the poachers and slobs are kept at bay.

contact Joedy Gray at TPWD. He is the ramrod for the records. Joedy GrayInland Fisheries (512) 389-8037 anglers@tpwd.state.tx.us Texas Parks & Wildlife Department 4200 Smith School Road Austin, Texas 78744 My guess is it would fall under water body for the Elm Fork and it doesn't have a record set for Blue Catfish yet. The Trinity Blue record is 76 lbs for rod/reel. Texas unlike IGFA doesn't list by line class. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/programs/fishrecords/
