does lake fork have a barge where you pay to fish ? if so how would i get there from mesquite ?

Not that I am aware of, but the Minnow Buckey on hwy 154 has a fishing pier, in fact that is where the Lake Fork Crappie Record fish came from. They charge $2.00 a person to fish off of it. Sharon

There is a little brush around the pier near the end, but there is a ton a hydrilla gorilla all around it.

Sharon I believe that it was also a state record crappie if my memory serves me correct. It was caught at the end of the pier and it was after dark. I was there when it was caught and man was it a monster. Looked like it had swallowed one of those green trash fish. There is a light on the end of the pier but good luck getting close to it!!!

I looked it up and it is a state record black crappie. Just so you know, it was caught with a minnow.

In addition to the crappie, it is loaded with eating size bream, thre is a fish cleaning station there, and it collects all kinds of fish, and turtles Sharon

In the summer months you can actually barge hop under the bridge.

Don't hop into my boat unless you bringing me lunch. This is so true, the boats will be from one end of the bridge to the other.
