I live and guide in Alaska and I don't recommend Neoprene to anyone even folks coming up here to fish. Sierra trading post has several types of breathable waders at good prices. I will assume since you are asking this is an activity you plane to pursue, I'll make a personal suggestion either the Simms or Patagonia are good waders . That said the women that I have all guided and have tried both all went for the Patagonia waders something about the fit just being right on vs the Simms... As a guide I have all four of the top brands and my favorite in truth is really simple, the pair that is not leaking at the time.

I hope my 2 cents helps out some

No neoprene, even in AK. Well, that puts a whole new light on the wader issue for me.

thank you Paul.

I agree, on neo... If the water is still wet, it's warm enough to wear breathables, if you dress right you can stay warm. If the water is not wet, it's too cold to fish.

There is a reel?

It's more than the catfish would do.

Yep, and a woman too. She's to the upper right of the fish.

I hope SWTRHWMBO reads this, I could use some brownie points.

Well some of us are about a half bubble off of plumb, but we try not to point out the really crazy folks. It tends to get them riled when you point at them.
