Not much choice out there for the better half. Simms is the top of the line and leading the way in women's apparel for our sport. Just get her something that she will stay dry and warm in and you are all set!

do you really need neoprenes? those would be awfully hot in spring and summer. I do fine in regular waders in winter. simms if expensive is not a problem http://simmsfishing.com

I just wear the Bass Pro Shop brand...the second from the cheapest. It has worked for me so far, but I rarely use waders.

Find some stocking foot breathable waders and get wade boots(go one full size over athletic shoe size) . Just layer as needed under the waders for comfort.

Women's Flyweight II waders from LLBean have served my girls well. Light, flattering cut, and relatively durable. $59. Dale

I gotta jump on the no neoprene wagon. Being raised in a place where we would call a 68 degree brook a hot spring, I have always used neoprene. I know my waders don't leak, but this summer I wore them a couple times and I'm not sure which was wetter, the inside or outside. Go with breathable, or at least just plain rubber.
FISH ON!!! ummmmm off

Stay away from the neoprene. Go with the breathable waders and get her some thick wool socks. It is better to wear something other than jeans under your waders, such as sweat pants or thermal underwear on those cool days but on warmer days I wear shorts.
As far as waders cut for women: they are not a fashion item. I keep mens cut waders in my wader pool and none of the ladies who have worn them have had any problems with the fit.
For the shoe sizing, remember that mens shoes are 2 sizes larger than ladies sizing. If it is an inseam issue, most waders come in long or short cuts.

Sierra has some good deals on Womens waders. I have been looking for a new pair my self but most of what Sierra has is for Women. Clicky +1 for Sierra Trading Post No hassles 100% guarantee. About the only thing I haven't bought from them is waders, and I have never had any issues if I needed to return anything. The Powell fly rods are pretty sweet, too. JR

When my GF and I shopped for her waders last year, we took the time to try on several different brands and sizes. We settled on a pair of Simms that was on closeout... keep in mind that the hardest thing to do was find waders that fit her feet properly without being at either extreme of the bootie size -- both too tight and too loose aren't good. Be sure to constantly reassure her that everyone looks rather silly in waders.
Once you find the right waders the fun part about finding a properly sized wading boot begins... "Yes, dear even the lightweight boots are heavy."
The shopping ordeal is worth it, especially if your gal enjoys fishing with you.
