Went camping and fishing for Thanksgiving, my daughter had more fun playing with the bait than anything else. She also caught quite a few perch. Cutest little worm fetcher I've ever seen.

making memories

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

My dad didn't have any sons so I was able to be his fishing partner. The memories you are creating will last forever. Can't think of a better way to spend time with your child!

I was a single mom and passed on the love of fishing to my daughter ..... she's in college now .... I bought my first boat in May after my father passed away ..... the first time she went out with me she said "Paw Paw would be proud" ....

Keep it up .... hope your little girl knows how blessed she is.

Nice pics. The first time my younger daughter (then two years old) went fishing in a boat, she spent all of her time playing with the crickets in the mesh tube.

Thanks for the comments, she loves to fish, we have a pond at home and we frequent it a lot. My camera is a Nikon D40 with a 18x200 Nikor lens, it takes amazing pictures.

Dude, that is awesome. I started taking my daughter fishing when she was about 2. Put her on fish the first time. She is very hard core now at 14. She would rather fish with me than hang out with her friends. That is from what I understand very unusual at this age. Take her every chance you get. Always bring a dozen or two of minnows. When fishing is slow, it is always entertaining to stir up the minnows and make them dizzy. Congrats, there are no better times than spending it with your son or daughter in the outdoors.

By the way, your daughter is beautiful. You will have to install locks on the inside and outside of the door!

That's one beautiful little fishergirl. Thanks for continuing this awesome tradition by introducing her to the outdoors. One of my favorite quotes of all time....

"First, teach a child to love God; teach them second to love their family and third, teach them to love the outdoors and by the time they reach their teens, no dope peddler under the sun will be able to teach them anything" - Cotton Cordell

Thanks for sharing your photos and story HR!
