Fishing from a driftboat floating a river. This ALWAYS happens. I tell a client to get ready we are coming to a really good spot. He will invariably get tangled up at the critical moment and of course miss the spot.

also, NO BANANAS in the boat and never ever catch a fish on the first cast. That is the kiss of death and will guarantee a really slow day of fishing.

Hah hah, I have always been careful about that, cause you know how when you do that you get that sense that there is somebody watching you. There could be some lady with binoculars or a telescope watching. But sometimes when you have to go you have to go.
I have a buddy of mine who's dad passed out from holding it in. He held it in for a long time. When he got back to a restroom right after he peed, he passed out on the bathroom floor. I guess the relief from letting the pee go from holding it in so long did something to him and he passed out.
I live on the lake out here and I have a friend that has a telescope on his balcony and says he likes to use it to watch people on the lake. Kinda weird but I guess a lot of people have telescopes and do that. Even my neighbor has a telescope to watch what people are doing on the lake. So I guess that's why I get the sense that somebody is always watching from somewhere with a scope of some sort.

Wind from the east - fishin's least. Wind from the west - fishin's best.
Consult your solunar tables. Cattle (wildlife) inactive pretty well coincides with the solunar "off" periods. "Winds from the East and the cows are laying down. Fish aren't biting today." I laughed out laud when my wife's grandfather told me that. That was 12 years ago and I haven't caught a single d*mn fish in those conditions since then. He doesn't laugh out loud when I bring it up, but I see him snickering out of the corner of my eye sometimes.

When I buy my pack of cigarettes I always flip two upside down and save em for fishin. If the fishin is slow I go to the pack and snag one of my lucky's I flipped over. Normally does the trick.
