I have fished it over the years in a tube. Small about 97 surface ac. Rip-rap on the damm face good to about 15 feet of water... 25 feet deep across the damm in most places. There is a creek channel but it does not go to the draw down.

Draw down has crappie most of the time somewhere suppended in the water collum. Try the shaded side first and then all around. I have not caught fish on the bottom at the drawdown fish are alway suppended.

upper end of the creek is real shallow and this time of the year might not hold fish unless water warms up and the fish are moving.

There is a spill way on the EAST side of the damm. shallow with cattails. I have not caught fish there in the past. This area gets a lot of pressure.

The nice thing abut the lake is no wake zone in the whole lake. but there are still large boats on the lake most days.

I have caught most of the fish on the EAST side of the lake. Not as many bank fisherman on the east side.

Good luck if you fish and pleae post up how you did if you go. thanks hope this helps.

I fished it in December about 3 years ago I think. I was really impressed by the little lake, even on a bluebird day with water temps in the 50s I did ok from my bass buster. I caught some decent ones on carolina rigs off the points, and pocket on the west side nearest the launch ramp going towards the dam. I caught my biggest one slowrolling a spinnerbait. Caught a few big sandies on cranks, but oddly enough I couldn't get a bite on the dam. As I recall darker colors on the crigg, char and white spinnerbait. Good luck!

i work for a oilfield service company. and we are drilling on their property. So i got a badge. We are only allowed to bank fish. i want to put my tube in there. I just got one since i can't pull my boat from baton rouge when i come to work. I got skunked today. Full moon last night prolly didn't help. I lost a big one for the second time right on the bank in the same spot.
