When using my trolling motor(Foot control) it will cut off (lose power). I can tap it on the head with my hand and the power comes back on. After a couple of times using the foot control the power will cut off again.(Light stays working on arrow indicator) A quick tap on the head gets it back going. I know it has to do with some sort of electrical short but I have inspected all the connections and cant seem to find anything loose. Anyone that cant tell me what to do next would be greatly appreciated. The motor is approximately 3 years old.

when you inspected "all the connections" that included connections in the control box ?

If you can tap the control box sounds like a loose connection for sure.

That 70 should have the +/- for the motor(pic) and (2)small +/- Directional Arrow Light. Sorry dont have the pic after I swapped the control box out on mine.
