Got on the water at 7am. Drove around and tried to find new spots but didn't catch nothing, so I hit the bridges. The wind was pretty calm. Water temp @ 58 degrees and like Bobcat said, water looks pretty murky and greenish. Had a slight stinky smell too. Caught a lot of dinks, with a few good ones mixed in. Ran into Ernest Paty and chatted with him for a lil bit, then all of the sudden it was like someone turn the fan on full blast. Went from dead calm to white capping in seconds.Left the lake a almost noon. Ended the day with 12 nice keepers. Biggest went 1 lb 12 oz. Not a whole lot of fish, but they sure got some meat on em'. Now my family and I are going to enjoy some fish.

Very nice fish! Could I inquire as to which bridge tended to provide the most action? Did you try any deep brush piles when it was calmer earlier in the morning?
The smell may be remnants of the fall turnover. Lots of junk from the bottom that is smelly and putrid tends to rise and have an odor.

Toll bridge had more action. I didn't try any deep brush. I tried west of 35 bridge with no luck so I decided to hit the toll bridge where I have been doing well lately. I smelt the odor on the elm side. The toll bridge side I didn't smell any odor.

Nice catch.. Seems to be a lot more photos of black crappie being caught on LL. I'm glad to see it.
