(PER TX PARKS & WILDLIFE REGS) pages 39 see texoma note ctfsh5 explained on page40; bag limit=15 & only one-blue cat over 30" per day. It caught me by surprize that lake Texoma now has a new limit for 2009-2010 fishing season much less than the rest of the TX lakes. Instead of needing a fish stretcher in many past cases to be legal, now I need a fish shrinker.

This is a great deal for Texoma. Both Texas and Oklahoma have been doing studies for this over the past 5 years I know of.

Really not a bad deal, you can catch and keep them up to about 10 lbs, and turn the bigger ones loose!!!

Better living through Govt. control. Relax they know better than you do on how to run your life. They are experts. I am betting we will be wearing seat belts in our boats next. That is all.

I dont think anyone is going to be affected by keeping 15 fish per person. thats a pretty good mess. I think with the increased pressure and increased knowledge of how to catch them it is warranted. I think catfish is one of those fish that can be quickly overharvested.

Wouldn't hurt me a single bit keeping one 30+" per day, and 15 fish per person per day.

What is so bad about catch and release? They limit the bigger fish becaue the are mature breeding size that replenish our lakes.

I hope the slot comes sooner than later.to many big fish are being killed it takes twenty years to grow a 40 pounder and only two to grow a good eater do the math. with the increased fishing pressure the cats are feeling now it won't take long to rid a lake of trophys....

I think big blues taste nasty regardless...and I don't care how long you purge it or starve it or bleed it or boil it or fry it or bake it or blacken' it... I'd just as soon eat a bowl of shad gizzards!
