Standing outside the shop this morning and a truck goes by pulling a flat bed trailer with a backhoe on board. On either side of the backhoe must have been 30-40 pieces of 4" PVC in 20' lengths. In the 15 seconds that truck was in view, I had mentally made, dropped and was catching crappie off the condos that all that PVC could provide.
Meanwhile, it's probably going to fuel someone's sprinkler system. What a waste.

What is MCD? I hear it all the time so i thought I would ask.

Mad Crappie Disease.

I got me a case of that MCD this spring, the only problem is the only lake I do well catching crappie on is Rayburn 4:30 hours away.

Jeff I know what you mean. Any time I pass a construction site or sprinker work and they have pallets of PVC laying out I start thinking about what I would do with a load like that. Even when I pass new home construction I can't help but admire the PVC coming out of the slab (nice weight).

When I drive down my alley I look at all the junk my neighbors are throwing out to see if there is anything suitable for crappie homes.

When I drive by a road work site and they have broken up some old road - I look at the chunks of concrete with rebar sticking out of them...and I want it all.

It's bad.

I got it too.....MCD.....it's bad.....all day long I think about the weekend trip and plan new tools and ways to make the crappie fishing better.

Ohhhh Nooooo, I've got it too, I've been dockshooting all morning while running errands. Going to CC tomorrow morning and all I can do is think about each dock, and which one I will start out with. Think I have that figured out, now I'm taking a break from glueing on bubble bellies to jig heads.

I think its contagious. I was feeling fine until I read this post, and suddenly all I can think about is getting to the lake. I keep feeling this thumping sensation in my hand, and everytime my arm seems to jerk upwards. People are starting to look at me funny.

I know that feeling, I've had a bad case of MCD all week, I live right here on Lake Cypress, but it's just not the same going out without a fishing buddie, and mine is busy working all week. Isn't there some kind of rehab center for this!!!! hehehe

I can't take much more of this.
