Bank fishing is limited. It can be good off either pier, near the swim area, or along the dam. Catch some shad at daylight or use some punch bait for good results. Good luck.

Gibbons is a great place.bank fishing is limited unless you wanna hike with all your equipment through some brush. also when folks like to take a seedoos ,and there boats and speed past the dam the wake will become frustrating. but i have had great luck at the in between the first and second white booies on the cement dam. use punch bait and Frozen Shrimp and i guarantee you'd go home with dinner!! Good luck

I have had a lot of success fishing behind the dam. I would get shad with my cast net at the boat ramp then fish with em at the spillway. Biggest i caught was two 10 lb yelllows. Also caught many smaller ones in 3-6 lb range. One time i was fishing beside a guy who pulled in a 38# blue. I have not fished the spillway in couple years though, not sure what it is like now.

I will be at Gibbons too on Saturday, even tho the weather is supposed to be bad. I bought a new boat 2 weeks ago, and still have not had a chance to make that 1st trip out. I cant take it anymore!!
