I went today for about 2 hours and got 1 good bump. Saw only one fish caught but it was a keeper. It needs to get ALOT colder. The water was pretty clear but had more current than usual. I just explored the creek.

fishsif most people use small bobbers ( with stoppers ) for better casting accurracy in tight spots .but you can fish without bobber when they are more agrressive . the slip bobber technique allows you to keep the jig in the strike zone longer tho . if you are fishing off the bridge straight down you dont need bobber .

if you are fishing a creek that has more the 4 feet a slip bobber is ideal . can you imagine throwing a jig an bobber trying to fish 8 feet down in 9 ft of water ? you can buy some stops or use a rubber band for a stop .sorry cant help you in ft worth spots

This is the set-up I use the pics are not that great their from my cell phone but you will get the idea

and here is the finished product after on your line

for me this is a very effective way to tell what depht your at as well as fishing any where from 20' to 2'.

As far as spots in your area first off don't take this the wrong way but no one is going to tell you their honey holes, it's up to you if you want to find fish. What I use is google earth, if you don't have that go here http://earth.google.com/ and download it, it's free. Look at the reservoirs in your area on google earth and find the main creeks coming from the lakes from the mouth of the creek any where from a 1/2 mile to 3 miles up from the mouth you are going to find fish, target bends in the creek and any structure you can visablly see. Note you will strike out on alot of spots but once you find them more times than not it will be the mother load.

Good-luck

Marc
