I just found this forum after a friend told me about it and I thought I would make my contribution. I am only 24 but the past couple years I have learned a lot about fishing from a good friend of mine and we have had quite a bit of success fishing for crappie here on lake Cypress Springs. We usually fish Brush piles with a standard jig, but I just wanted to know if anyone has any other ideas for catching nice slabs.
Thanks for the help

Read a lot and report what you catch and you will learn tons from these guys and gals that fish and honestly report their results on this forum. Use the search for a subject you are curious about.
Welcome to the scource.

I fish that lake sometimes. Looks like I live pretty close to Scroggins. If you got a hot spot, I've got all the custom made jigs to catch em.

Nate,
Well we have pretty good luck with a tube jig on the brush piles, but I would love to learn more about other places to fish, and which docks to try. Last monday we went out to our brush piles and in a couple hours hauled in around 40 crappie between the two of us. But some days they just aren't bighting in that spot. If you have any tips, let me know.
