I have been trying to find em'. Hadn't had any success for 2 months. Went up bean creek last wendsday and caught only 3. Only one of the 3 was a keeper, full of eggs ,but was still a ways off. I bet there are better numbers up there by now. I am wanting to go today, if i do, I will let you know how i did.I tried up big creek to, with no success. I talked to a couple real nice fellers up there and they said the temp. then was 67. One of the guys told me he does't even try the banks on BP until the water temp hits 72.

Hey man, I went to bridgport wendsday, sure was windy, and got a little wet to. Well i made it up to the mouth of bean creek and caught nothing.I headed back to wise county park and tried where i could without the wind blowing me off the lake. I finally found a few, just out from wise co. park still in 8 to 14' of water. I caught about 15, but only 2 of the 15 where keepers. I didn't try any minners, the onle plastic i could get them to bite waas black and chartreuse, just like the fishin report states @tpw. Well I hope that will help you a little, they just aren't in the shallows yet. If they are i can't find em'. Although all the fish i caught in that depth of water where females w/ a ways to go on the eggs.Hopefully this wind will lay a little and everything will come together. Good luck to you! George

hey, hey, lovefishin, I finally found some, the 13th i found a hole with brush in 18' of water, caught 17 keepers, i lost count on the 9 and 7/8 fish. I went back friday night, me and my brother-in-law caught 30 keepers, took all night though, I spent 16 hrs out there on each outing, atleast the wife is happy! I can continue fishing now, she said the new boat payed for itself already. That's just how much she likes em on the table. Good luck to you, I caught them from 11' on up to 3' during the heat of the day, all there in 18' of water. See ya, George

Joe, during the daylight hrs. i was using 1/16 ounce chartreuse roadrunner heads w/ various plastics(tube jigs). I would catch 3 or 4 on ,say , black and chartreuse, and then they would quit. I would try another color and might catch 1 or 2 more. I caught them on maribou jigs also, from white to yellow to red, black and white. I would have to say black and chartreuse was best. At night i couldn't get them to bite either one, jigs or minners, so i put them together and i would catch a few, then have to change colors again, but always had to be tipped w/ a minner after dark.
Hope this will help you, good luck! George

I've been catching some males right on the bank up Jasper Creek. I've been fishing on the south bank, west of the bridge. I don't think you can get a boat in there, I have a hard time getting my kayak in there. I had been fishing it in my tube until I fell the other night and tore my waders. I use jigs only ( the old standby is red-head, white roadrunner ). I have been hitting it about every week for 6-7 weeks now and have yet to get into the females. BTW, does anyone have any tips on repairing a hole in the knee of my Lacrosse waders?

Eddie, I am pretty sure you can go to Bass Pro, or academy and get a patch kit. I had been given an old pair that had some holes ,and a guy told me that. I never did, i ended up getting a new pair. I haven't made it to that end of the lake yet this year. The females should be on the banks real soon. All of them I cleaned where getting close. All of them full of eggs.Good luck w/ thee waders. George
