So does anyone know of a good spot to fish off the banks? Any info would be helpful. Thanks for the other info as well.

Bank fishing action is starting to slow down a bit. There are still fish to be caught shallow, but a lot of fish have already moved out to 6-13' of water. The area around the East Fork Marina is always a popular spot in April

ehhh, target, schmarget. all of the parks have good shoreline access. check out the TPW web-site. you can bring up a Lavon map with all of the parks listed. Clear Lake park has a lot of great shoreline access. Lavonia, Ticky creek, etc.... the rip-rap at the bridges. good luck to ya. be patient cuz Lavon is one of those hit or miss lakes. GOFISH

So let me pose this question to you: If you were going fishing this weekend, which I know 99% of you are, and you had no boat, where would you go?

right now, fish the shallows with a small spinner-bait and/or a crappie jig with bobber about 12 to 18 inches above the jig. slowly reel in the jig/bobber, pop it a little, steady retrieve, etc... experiment and let the fish tell ya how they want it. expect to move around a bit cuz the fish will be. you can also rig up some catfish rods with minnows, shrimp or nightcrawlers and get ya some blues and channel cats. keep on asking questions here on the TFF. you'll get some great info. good luck. I'd be at Tickey Creek at daylight waiting on the Sand Bass to run. I've been seeing lots of folks out there and it is time for them to start coming in. Take some minnows or catch some Shad in a cast net and worm either on a Crappie hook.
