I Spoke to a friend who fish over the weekend in the Harvy creek area, There were several on his barge, they caught 144 keepers. there were in no certain spot, except 12 ft of water, in open coves, no cover around, no trees ext, just some grass beds in one place, bare bottom in other. The key according to him was 12 ft depth and keep moving slowly with trolling motor. I didnt go this morning because of the weather forcast, rain with THUNDER, we have had thunder around since noon. 49deg this am. Same forcast for Wed. Have to go back to DR. in Houston Thur. Maybe FRIDAY.

If the LORD takes me to it, He will see me through it.

I didn't know it had a name, but I use this method quite often when fishing the docks. From how it is described, sounds a whole lot like "flipping" for bass. I love to catch crappie this way. It seems especially useful when the crappie seem to be holding at various depths or when they are more shallow.

Tom

They were using several type of jigs, black and yellow, white with red head road runners, lite blue with flakes in them (puddle jumper jigs). I do not know if how we fish is called swinging or not we locate a brush pile, get 20-25 ft from it cast past the marker, let the jig come back to you, normaly they will hit it on the fall. Have to make a trip down past you in the am. We have had some severe Thunder storms around this afternoon and still going on. best of luck this weekend. When the brush piles get hot I will get you to come up our way.

If the LORD takes me to it, He will see me through it.
