Hello,

New to texas and this board. Can anyone help me find a place I can get some live minnows around the lewsiville area? I am near the Vista Ridge mall. Thanks in advance for your help.

Also looking for a shooting range?? Any tips would be of great help.

Can't remember the name of the place off hand.

Go North on I-35
Right on Valley Ridge
Valley Ridge will dead end into Mill St.
Right on Mill St.

About a 1/4 mile down on the left is a place that sells bait and firewood. I belive you have to buy it by the pound.

Shooting range:
You have two choices.
1 - pay a ridiculous amount of money and shoot somewhere close
2 - pay a somewhat reasonable fee and drive a long way.

Closest to you will probably be Elm Fork.
South on 35 to NW Highway (loop 12 or spur 348)
Head West
Luna Road - North
North on Luna and the entrance is on your left somewhere on that road

Sporting clays is ok. Other than that - ahhh & $$

Quail Creek Range is close to you. Down at the end of 1171/Main street near the intersection with 35W. $12 to shoot all day, but ranges are limited.

The gas station next to Beer barn in Lake Dallas just after the swisher exit has minnows.

I'd choose Quail Creek over Elm Fork
