If it can make a Ranger go a true 74mph, it is not a motor, it is a miracle. Congratulations to Yamaha. Looks like they may have a winner on their hands. Now, next question. How much does it cost?

$70,000 plus. LOL looks like ill be buying 2 cycle oil for a good while. If the econcomy is in such bad shape and so many are being laid off daily why would any boat company come out with a rig like this and put such a high price on it.

I wonder if Skeeter and all other boat manufacturers are making adjustments to the new models, so that they will not be affected as much by ethanol.
Some affects of ethanol:
-such as dissolving the the resin that binds fiberglass threads together which can cause fuel tank leaks and clogged fuel systems.
-such as E-10 only burning as 84-octane after the 3 octane of ethanol from 87-octane has bound to water. Thus leading to engine deterioration.
For 70 G's is sure hope so!!!!
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Not trolling here...
But I do not believe Mercury will sit back and take this.
Does anybody see a Verado SHO in the future?
I love my 250 XS, but the video of the holeshot with the SHO sure does look good.

And you wonder why boat dealers are going out of business!! Greed ; and the only people that can afford these prices are those who are willing to get in debt up to their eyeballs or being on the "TEAM". Give us the quality boats we can afford to fish out of. You'll be suprised at your bottom line !!! Support the working men that fish on weekends; they're the ones that'll keep the industry alive.

Would much rather have the Z520, the proXS, and 15K. 6 more miles for top speed? All looks good on paper...

They wont sell for anywhere near that price...I would guess $50,000-$55,000. I think the MSRP on an i-class is probably close to $80,000.

For 70+ I better get a queen size bed, bathroom, bar, and a waitress to go with it. Unbelieveable!!
