Well guys,
It's almost that time again at Granger. Been 3 of the last 4 days and caught fish every day so far. Biting on the dock at fox park early and even starting to see some nice fish coming off the banks in 2 feet of water. Sunday I took home 10 nice crappie in a few hours and everyone left with fish. The bite has been early and dies off about 11. Heard from a few old timers that they are picking back up a little in the mid to late afternoon but didn't stick around to find out. This front messed them up today but still managed 4 keepers by 11. Most fish have been 9-11" but I caught a 14"er today that was 1.5lbs which is nice. Spring break starts this weekend so I might take a week off but the fish are starting to hit if you care to fight the crowds.
If you ain't fishin, you ain't livin!

jimmimallo,
thanks for the report, I fished last night in the river and caught some nice crappie and some big whites up in the river. I was using a yellow roadrunner head and tipping with a minnow and using a slip bobber to locate 'em. I caught fish almost till 11. Have you tried Willis creek yet?
Never gig'em, just HOOK'EM!!!!!
