I just wonder how many of you out there do use the road runners consistently to catch your share of crappie on a regular basis..

Care to share your story and technique?

I recently put together a batch for a friend, so these aren't the sale items nor promotion... just something to share among our fellow TFFers..

Mack & I did pretty well trolling them at LOP back in the spring but I haven't fished 'em since.

I never have used them fro crappie but "flip" jigs when the bite is slow. I get more action from a moving jig vs. the normal jig technique.

Those look nice. I would buy some if you offered them.

And after getting beat twice in a row by trolling, I'm going back to 'em.
It would be nice to have better hooks in 'em.
The originals have soft metal and will not sharpen up.
Sickle hook RR's would be a crappie catching machine.

Not here. I have tried road runners without success so I guess it's just a confidence thing for me. On the other hand I can't catch that well as it is so maybe it's just me. LOL!

For years it's all I used. I quit because of the size of the hook and poor quality. If CV is making them, they will sell.

There fantastic baits, I use them on acassions.

Been using them the last few years for spider-rigging jigs and jigs tipped w/ minnows. I have some w/ sickle hooks and I really like the added gap for minnows.

CV those look great!!!! as you know that is mainly all I use, those and your regulars. I guess I got you into another market.

I strickly use road runners and can honestly say, 9 outta 10 times I will out fish evryone I am with. And not just crappie, we did take a soldeir fishing at GV this weekend and I did better on the RR than the other people we was with and they were throwing everything at them.

they are all i use in the spring i us the crappie thunder brand. the green and yellow body with orange head work really well for me and i shoot docks and cast into spawning areas with them.

I don't use em often enough,but a friend of mine that's blind uses em instead of jigs i guess he has more confidence in em. P.M. sent
