Well, I went to Old Alton today and fished off the bank for about 3hrs with jigs. I tried everything...bobber, no bobber, fished stumps, off the bridge and tried to get into the debris as much as I could without a boat. I walked all over the place and tried everything I could think of. If anyone has any tips that would be awesome. Thanks a lot and good luck.

That's been the same experience for me this year TT. Last year we caught them all winter anywhere you could find a stick. I think they are there but the high water is making it hard to find them - at least that's my excuse.

That goes DITTO here. TP & myself along with Papapeck hit 'em hard last year and now you can't buy a bite down there. I went just before Christmas and caught some nice bass in my kayak, but no slabs like last year??!! Went Crappie fishing for a few hours just b/4 this last front and nada. Oh well, have to stay on the lake and pound 'em like we did a week ago!
Have you THANKED a SOLDIER lately?!

I was out on he main lake yesterday around I-35 in hickory creek and the water temp is just now getting down to 47.5 Degrees. I think this is about the temp when the fish start leaving the lakes for the rivers ans creeks. Keep an eye out. When the lake people stop catching them there running. This rain and warm weather is keeping the main lake temps high.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!
