Your using the right baits.. senko with 1/8oz pegged weight.. and white spinnerbait with small chrome willow blades.. I found out to go to small pockets off the main lake with less cover and cast at the edge of cover (willows and buck brush) and drag the senko back to the boat.. Most of your fish are not in the thick cover.. Hope that helps you

tejasbass, Congrats on your win. You should be commended on a great job. There are lots of us that we there with you just without the same same results. Thanks for the feedback.

"Why is Lewisville so dog gone hard to fish when shad are all over the place"
You may have answered your own question. With an abundance of baitfish in the pockets now the bass are gonna prefer the real deal. You might try a faster more erratic retrieve so they dont get a good look at it and strike out of reaction. Maybe try some different colors too, that might stand out. I know they are seeing a ton of white spinnerbaits right now. Well hells bells...if I would have known I knew the answer, I would have asked (I'm not pissed, just having some fun) It definitely was a trying day, I will have to try some different tactics if I make it back out there. This will just give me some added pressure to step up my game and not let it get the best of me

I am starting to hate fishing this lake. During the summer I've caught bass back in the coves, at a fairly nice pace. NOW, they have all seemed to sit in the murky water and laugh at anything that is brought in front of them. I was lucky enough to catch 4 decent Sand Bass last Sunday all on silver/blk back Rat-l Trap. At times I've felt that I need to throw a grenade out in the middle and see what floats up (I'm kidding of course)
