 What is good Flathead bait?

Hi i`m going on a 4 day caming trip near a lake during Thanksgiving break. and the lake has flathead (witch I have never cought before and I really wanna catch) in it and I just wanna know what to catch `em on 
fish to live and live to fish ------------<*}}]]>><

live bluegill cut shad live bullheads live smaller carp goldfish pretty much for flats you want a live bait that is legal
 fish to live and live to fish

Live bluegill and cut big shad fresh is the key! Little trick of mine is to cut the dorsal fin on the blue gill and trim the tails back. They in my mind give off a injuried flutter and can't swim near as fast from the big yellows. Plus easier to swallow if the dorsal if cut off. It does not harm the bait any at all if you only cut the fins.

i used blue gills up untill i met damfisherman! +111111 on the yellow bullheads keep em alive
