Where is a good spot to fish for shallow Crappie at Gibbons Creek?

I fished Gibbons Creek often when I was in College. WHOOP! Never fished shallow for them but always had good luck around the trees in the first cove to the right of the boat ramp. Jigs were always the order of the day. That lake is absolutley loaded with fish. Good luck

I can't remember if there was a spillway off to the right as you approach the lake, or if it was just a creek, but I caught a ton one spring while at A&M. If I remember correctly, I caught a limit every day for 3 or 4 days. I tried again the following spring but missed em.

Thanks for the input.

There is a spillway on the right as you approach the lake, did you fish on the shallow end?

this time of year shallow is where you will find them. I did catch some last weekend on some of my brush piles, but the majority of the crappie will still be in the shallows.
