i'm not sure what the rig is called but i fish with a float about 7-5 inches from my hook as i'm sure alot of you do. whats your color of choice on your float? does anyone know if there has been any research into what colors fish see? i know with cats it more by smell but even then is bright orange enough to scare them away? i prefer to use the little green ones .

Color doesn't make a bit of difference, so use whatever you prefer.

I use what I got, the float just keeps the bait off the bottom, its not an attractent, so it dont matter.

I don't think color makes any difference at all. I use pink, green, orange, yellow. Use whatever you want. thumb

Remember that you are talking about a fish that relies mostly on sense of smell in the water because of bad eye sight.

I did read that but i guess i was still confused on why you were asking what color, if the chances are that the catfish wont even see it. Were you just wondering what everyone else's favorite color was?
