My brother and I have a trip scheduled in March for the first time ever. I've seen all the posts on where to stay so we have that figured out. Now we need to know where to fish. Any help would be appreciated.

March is a long time off. Anywhere on the mexican side should be good.

Yea, hoping to catch it around the spawn. Probably will have to wait and ask again closer to March.

All depends on water level. I was there last February when it was 7' above full pool (20 feet higher than right now) and you could not get within a hundred yards of most shorelines without a chainsaw in your boat. Hard to fathom, I know, but believe it.

Falcon is currently about 13.5 feet low, 15 feet lower than it was in February at the high point, when we were 2 feet +- over pool. And last year was the first time in 15 years that Falcon was full.
No telling what the water level will be in Mar.. Could be higher.. Could be a lot lower.. We'll see.. But the fishing should be good.. Water will be pulled for irrigation in late Jan and Feb, like always.
Count on catching a lot of numbers as we have a hellova crop of babies this year as you could imagine.. And most all will be keeper size in Mar..
Stop by the store and we'll point you in the right direction when you get here..

If you are looking for the spawn then you should consider Jan-Feb. or maybe even late Dec. We went last Dec. and there were early staging fish at that time. They spawn early down there.

Was there this past March and caught more 3-4 lb fish than I would bother to count with many 5-8 lbers mixed in for good measure. Carry alot of Senkos, flukes and brush hogs in watermelon red along with chart dip for the tails. Each day I would restock with what I thought was enough of those baits and ran each day of atleast one of the baits. Most fish were in 6 feet and less near brush and cactus in the mid to back of cuts. Would use chart/white spinner baits to locate the fish then go to picking apart all available cover in that area. Had 3-4 lb fish swimming by the boat all day long.
