I live less than a mile from the boat dock at Hwy 66 on Ray Hubbard. I do have a boat. I was wondering where the best place to fish for Crappie on Ray Hubbard would be currently. Since the gates are open on Lavon (my regular fishing hole), I don't want to fish there tonight.

If you could, be specific as possible. If you get me in the general location, I'll be able to locate the fish on my graph.

The gates have not been opened on Ray Hubbard yet. I check the Army Corps of Engineers website daily.

I've been meaning to try under the 66 bridge one of these nights. If you live that close to it, it might be worth-while checking out.

Is the golf course area around the Shores picking up yet? I am only asking because I usually fish out there. You might want to try that if the fish are starting to get shallow.

Buddy and I fished Lavon last night from about 8:15 - 11:30pm. Caught a little over 30 crappie...keeping the 12 larger ones. All fish were caught in 2' - 4.5' of water.

I have never really had a problem catching crappie this time of year with the gates open.
