Anybody here use/used a float tube in moving water? Debating the usefulness of a tube over a kayak, and cost/benefit. Mainly looking at small shallow streams.

My therapist says she's happy I flyfish for the meditative qualities. Little does she know it's the cause of my PTSD.

If the streams are small and shallow will a float tube do you that much good? If they're less than waist deep you'll be walking instead of floating the majority of the time. Just a thought.
If I were in the market for a kayak and had the cash, the Native Ultimate 12 like Windknot and Troutbum use would be one I'd look into.

In the Red River at Denison ?
Yup
Unless you are wearing a grass skirt and sleeping in a ditch and eating only road kill, you too are part of 'the problem'.

Pretty cool
Looks like our own Father Long Haired Dave got hired to shoot a float promo.

I ride one of these this is what happens when tubes and kayaks get left alone in the back of a truck on Friday nights.
It's more than the catfish would do.
