hey fellas this will be my first trip to grapevine and i know nothing about the lake i have heard that twin coves was a decent place to drift any other suggestions?

Not sure you would have a lot of room in twin coves for drifting. You might try the McPhearson slough area for drifting or by the island.

If you're looking to catch shad try the area just east of Meadowmere Park. They were bunched up there on Wed. I suck at throwing a cast net and still caught more than I needed in a couple of throws.

You can get all the shad you want at the aerator by the dam.
