I fish Lavon almost exclusively but am planning a short weekend trip in mid-April to camp and do a little fishing. I want to tent camp at a lake that has some wooded scenery but also has access to some good crappie fishing -- any tips?

Little Ridge park, by the power plant is about as good as it gets. There are a lot of tenters, so you won't be alone. In early morn there are several places to fish for crappie, both on the lake side and on the inlet side about 50 yards behind the tents. Also there are bbq pits available to those who want them. Hope this helps.
