While catching some sandies at Grapevine Tuesday, a gentleman pulled up beside me in his boat, and asked if I wanted to see a big fish, and of course I said, yes!!! Ken was his name, and he caught this cat on a spinning rod, with 12 pound line. the fish hit a green slab, while he was fishing for sandies. the mouth on this behemoth was large enough to insert a basketball!!! Anyway, i told ken i would post up his beast!!

oh yeah, and my little sand bass!!

nice cat

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Yeah, he came up and showed me that fish on tuesday also. I got a few pics with my phone but it looks like you got better ones. He told me it was on 8lb test...and it took him 30 minutes to land...had to chase it with the tm. Would like to know what the weight was if anyone has heard. I was guessing about 50lbs. Ken and I laid our rulers end to to end and he measured 2in shy of 4 ft.

i still think the best way is fried.

T-bone steak with fins. Those are some good eating fish there, even the big ones.
