I went over there and bought $60.00 worth of jigs when he first came to town and I have not caught a fish one on Tyler with them. Maybe it is just me. Those jigs are made very well and he has really good colors. They should come with a rattle though in my opinion for what they cost. I was on Lake Tyler yesterday and caught 5 fish on weightless senko's and 2 fish on a Shakey Head. All in the West Lake.

Everytime I punch grass on Tyler, I don't catch anything but grass. I have never caught any big fish from that hydrilla. All my big fish 8+lbs to 10.25lbs on Lake Tyler have come from boat docks, shoreline maidencane grass and brush piles.

I love my Deep South Rod!!! It was a prize I got for buying some gilla monsters.

Fast Lane, what part of the west lake were you on yesterday? I fished from the Camp Tyler pier around south to the barges area, but all 5 I caught were right at the edge of the grass along that bank there. Mostly I was trying to stay out of the wind!

I was fishing the northend of west lake (Prairie Creek). I was in Black & White Triton TR21. I seen a dark colored Champion Boat in the area you are talking about was that you?

I was in a maroon Triton 186, was dark colored but not a Crapion! I thought about going on up there and fishing the lilly pads and docks on the east side of that area you were in, but figured the wind would be bad up that way. I could not believe how the shad started schooling there at about 4:45 or so, it was crazy!

I guess I didn't see you. Yes there are lots of shad in the backs of those creeks this time of year. If I see you on the water sometime, I will swing by and say hello.
