As in Fish + Golf.

I wanted to see if there was any interest in combo tournament.
Set up as 2 man teams - Fishing four hours in the morning, weighing in. Then heading to a nearby golf course and having a two man "shambles" tournament.

Two man teams that would play:
all par 5's- as alternating ball.
all par 4's- as normal scramble best ball.
all par 3's- as individuals, posting lowest score.

Score from golf would be reduced by weight from fishing for the low net score winner.

Hopefully this will run for a while and might try to organize something in a few months.

Since I live in Dallas I would consider North Texas(Nacona, Texoma, Ray Roberts to Pat Mayse area), North East Texas(Tawakoni, Fork, Sandlin, lake o the Pines), MetroWest(Granbury, Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain, Grapevine area), MetroEast(Lewisville, Ray Hubbard, Cedar Creek area),East Texas(Sam Rayburn), and Central Texas(Richland Chambers, Waco, Belton area)

If the locals to these areas know of good golf courses near these lakes post em.

To start off I think it could be for fun/ bragging rites if it has potential it could be a regular series.

I can't afford golf clubs and golf balls. LOL

Ray Hubbard has three golf courses located very close. One is actually on the lake. 2(The Shores and Buffalo Creek) in Rockwall and one in Rowlett(Waterview)

I hear golf clubs are more expensive than rods and reels! I don't play but good luck with it.

Speaking for most of us,it's either have a exspensive bass boat,rods and reels,and 2 of everything that Cabela's and BPS has on the shelf.Or we could have a golf cart,trailer,and some clubs.But with the economy like it is,it's hard to do both.So if we are fishing,then our focus is strickly fishing.If we played golf,then we would focus on golf.I practice and focus on being a better angler,so homework is a must,leaves no time for golf.Just my .02 cents.Lol

I only play golf when the courses need a new irrigation trench dug. I can/do hack up a golf course pretty bad....lol

I would be down for this, and i know a quite a few people i could get to do this as well as long as the timing was right.
