Hi - New to saltwater environment, are Mahi Mahi catches common offshore of Port A?
Also how far out offshore is typical for tuna, ling, snapper etc.
Thanks!

Aboard The TTF Fishbait Dorado/ Dolfin are common in the GOM around Sargasso Weed rip lines and any floating debris that will hold bait fish with a little overhead shade cover. Any where you find Blue Water is far enough out.. but that distance varies with the Gulf-stream Current. Ling and Grouper are where you find them but most of the time you MIGHT get into some on a 12 hour trip out of just about any Texas/ GOM port. Tuna generally speaking are going to be out in very deep waters unless they come in to chase the Shrimp boats.. the floating rigs 110 to 220 miles out are the best bet for A Chance at consistent Tuna action. These fish are highly Pelegic so they can move a long distance in a short time... they may or may not be located where they were a couple of days ago.
