Went out to Ray Roberts today with David's Guide Service. First let me tell you that David can put you on fish. We started around 8:00 and hit the deeper humps around Wolf Island but could not get them to bite. After riding around for a minute or two I noticed some birds working so we headed over to them, and let me tell you. after only riding is center consoles for pretty much the whol 10 years i have been fishing with my dad, those bass boats can get up and going, but it is weird being so close to the water all the time. After we got to the birds we started catching them in 25 to 32 feet of water. We stayed at that same spot for well over an hour and caught them pretty steady with a little intermission in between schools. That is where we racked up the numbers pretty well. We went off to another set of birds while heading to another spot and also stayed there catching fish for about 45 minutes. We pretty much just hit all the humps and fished all the birds until 3:00 and then called it a day. The ended with about 300 fish. Most fish were pretty good size, some dinks but a lot of mags! All fish were caught on Flies-By-Night flies and Lead baby slabs! Those lead baby slabs were ticket today on the Lake. We tried several different slabs but nothing compared to the Lead Baby.

Thanks David for a great day on the lake!

Yes it was a blast! I had a lot of fun taking you guys fishing(with a little trash talking mixed in between fish)! And yes my arm does feel better today as well. But I think jr. short changed us with the 300 mark! I think it was closer to 350+ my self, judging by how sore my arm was this morning. Owell guess we will have to do it again to see who's number is closer. O'ya the fish are running around after the bait on Ray Roberts and pretty easy to find right now. Use your electronics and maybe watch for a bird or two, they can help to point the way. We caught fish in depths from 24ft to as deep as 40ft! On main lake points. All of our fish were caught by using the only combo you need to load your boat LEAD BABIES SLABS and FLY-BY-NIGHT FLYS!!!
