Thinking about buying some nice custom spinners..Bass Assault, Talon or War Eagle. Some opinions wanted...
Thoughts on the small profile line of spinners like War Eagle and Bass Assault have?
Double willow vs. willow/colorado?
All nickel or nickel/gold?
Edit: Almost forgot one...twisted loop vs. r-bend?
I know there are probably a ton of variables that could influence the answers...but just looking for general thoughts an opinions!

If your targeting regular shorline rip rap or grass just go with the regular brands. I prefer Stanley compact this time of year. If your looking to go off shore then a hybrid off brand would be the trick! I prefer a 3/1/2 willow with a colorado in the white, or white chartruse 3/8 oz. I do have diff. size blades and have adjusted them to the size of shad that ive seen floating. But in genral the bass are following the shad and up shallow this time of year. I like all silver for bright days and a gold silver for cloudy days. the colder the water gets the bigger the thump I prefer so as it gets colder I will switch to the bigger colorado. Needless to say dirty water you need dark colors, alot of anglers think black is only for night fishing. It is my preferred color in dirty water hands down! Clearer the water the opposite. Hope this helps!

Generally, double willows in clear water and colorado/willow combos in stained. I prefer to combine 24K gold and nickel blades, just my confidence thing. "R" bend frames offer the best vibration. Bass Assault Head Trip spinnerbaits are awesome, each bait is handcrafted and the quality is excellent. War Eagles are proven performers, however because of the light wire there is a tradeoff in durability. But, of course, I'm partial to Talon baits!

Have a look at Secret Weapon Lures. They have both fixed blade baits and ones that allow changing of blades to suit conditions etc. They are a very high quality bait and priced similar to the ones you mentioned.

I also prefer a big colorado in dirty water. Like to have lots of thumb then. I have to agree here. With the stained water kit and clear water kit offered by Secret Weapon, you get a variety of blades, skirts and heads. The quick change feature of secret weapon allows you to modify each spinner to the specific water clarity and forage you are looking for. Several weight optins to choose from also.

Cant beat the Talon's. Ive fished them for the past several years. Great colors and many different blade combos and colors, esp the Texas Two step. Never had an issue with them running true. And they do put fish in the boat.

I used the Talon magnum spinnerbait on Amistad this last weekend as a deeper water search bait since I had only fished the lake 2 or 3 times in the past(2003)and everyone was saying to fish deep. Those baits worked awesome in anywhere from 10-25 feet. I will be ordering some of those new sexy shad shibuie(sp?) that are in a different post ASAP. I was very impressed. Once I found 'em I fished slower with their football head jig and it produced as well.
