I lived down there for years and know the lake can get and stay muddy after a really good rain. I'm thinking about going down one of the next two weekends.

It is not muddy south of the power lines but is muddy in Yellow Bank. I did not go further north.

I went out last weekend and didn't catch a friggin fish, didn't even get a bite. To answer your question, it gets really muddy once you pass the "long cove" which is on the west bank not far past the island. But all that rain hasn't muddied it up as much as 15 inches in a month usually does.

Thanks, that's what I thought. That little lake can stay nasty longer than just about any place I know.

I guess I'll wait at least another weekend.

I would think the trap bite would be starting to pick up over there about now.

Find the edge of the river and go to town..

45 Fish huhh?? That seems pretty darn good considering the conditions right now. I went Wednesday and didn't really catch anything worth talking about on here. I was fishing with a friend that was in a white and black ranger, so you might have seen us out there. Got any tips??

Well CT Fisherman that must have been a really fun day. Wish I would have been there to see that. Well it sounds like you have them figured out..... hey just an idea a free guided trip to Nac would be great jk have fun catching more fish at Lake Nac.

I was on Nac. Monday, the 2nd, and did pretty good. I caught 2 4 pounders and and several between 2 and 4. It was very muddy past the power the line, and the further back you got, the worse the mud got. I did however catch a few in the back flipping stumps. Most of the fish I caught came around the dam and the grass in front of the east ramp. Caught most of them around the grass on traps.

If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy.
But mostly I'm happy.
I love being retired, the check is in the mail.
