Here's one for all you crappie guru's. I'm heading to Fork next Saturday for some crappie fishing. So far, it looks like the best fishing is going to be on the lower end of the lake off main lake points, so that's where we plan to fish.

Now, the weather today is nearly 80 and we're supposed to have highs around 70 for the rest of the week. So, should this have any affect on the crappie? In other words, will they move back to the bridges or into the creeks?

I'll keep an eye on the fishing reports to see what's happening. Maybe someone will be lucky enough to get out there and post a report or two before Saturday. Just wondering what you seasoned crappie guys would expect in those conditions.

Guess I'm gonna hafta wait for August for the wind to quit blowing...

Fished there last few days with marginal success when the wind dropped below hurricane force! SRA, Caney Creek and near the dam seem to graph a lot of fish but I couldn't get the bite. Ended up night fishing near Mustang in 35ft tied to structure and found some slow but steady success.

Fish Tales,
Where around Abilene do you find good crappie fishing?
