we fished the shallows all morning. only caught 3 keepers in 2 foot or less water. i thought the shallow bite would of been better yesterday. the wind just about blew us off the lake so we decided to hit the marina. the boat stalls were full of crappie. most of them were 8-9 inch fish. i've never caught that many small fish in the marina before. anyway we ended up with 17 keepers, so not a bad day all in all.

Hey Ranger,
Which marina were you fishing? April Plaza???
Sounds like they moved back out of the shallows. This cold front may move them even deeper although it's supposed to get back into the 70s tomorrow.

shiners the only fish I have any luck with on artificials seems to be bass but then again a plastic worm is kinda hard to screw up lol. I was fishing about 3ft down my dad was bout 7 ft sometimes they wouldn't hit for 45 mns then you would plop your minnow in and the bobber would sink before the rod was put down.
